Frozen Blueberry Coffee

I’m writing an e-book on coffee for college students, Coffee 101, that I hope to release for the Kindle soon. I decided to remove a few of the espresso-based recipes so that the bulk of the recipes in the book use regular drip coffee instead of espresso. Here’s one of the recipes that didn’t make the final draft.

If you’ve got fresh blueberries around (and this is the time of year for that!) then give Frozen Blueberry Coffee a try. It wasn’t quite sweet enough for me, so you might want to add more honey with the cinnamon and coffee. Taste test if before you add the frozen blueberries and whipped cream.

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon honey
  • 3 fluid ounces coffee
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream
  • ¼ cup of frozen blueberries  (Freeze for 20-30 minutes beforehand)

Place cinnamon, honey in a shaker, and add the coffee. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.  Fill a glass about halfway with whipped cream. Place the frozen blueberries in shaker with coffee mixture, cover, and shake 8 times. Pour into the glass and top with whipped cream.

Enjoy!
